Directions to the "Garden" at Los Angeles Union Station By Stan Garner Created 12/6/04

The Main Entrance is on Alameda Street just north of the 101 Freeway. There are Alameda Street exits in both directions of the Freeway. The second entrance is off Cesar Chavez Blvd. on the north side of the Station. Cesar Chavez passes underneath the main part of the station platforms through a tunnel. Cesar Chavez crosses Alameda Street. There is a major construction project underway on the north side of the Station property. Access should remain stable for the rest of the project but be prepared to use the Main Entrance if the Cesar Chavez entrance is blocked. ALAMEDA STREET ENTRANCE Alameda Street entrance to Union Station. Turn right and end of drive.  Follow the orange line around the south end of the station property to access the track level.  The south end of the drive circles around the MWD building. Follow the orange line.  Top of drive around south end of Union Station Property. Turn left here. Follow orange line. This view shows the top of the ramp from Cesar Chavez (straight ahead) and the entrance trail to the Garden on the right. Ignore the orange line and take the entrance to the Garden.  This is actually the road into the Garden. Watch for lots of traffic.  Keep going, you're almost there.  Watch for the yellow posts the entrance to the Garden is between them. Voila - The entrance to the Garden. This is the way you approach the Station from Vignes Street or Mission Road. Exiting the tunnel the first light is the entrance to the north side of the Station. The second light is Alameda Street. North entrance to Station. Watch for construction. Entrance to Ramp is immediately ahead on the left. Entrance to ramp to track level. Top of ramp. At top of ramp you make a sharp right turn then immediate left turn into the Garden road. This message includes car owners and guests.
